I’m following up on my original review because the response I received from the bakery left me even more disappointed. After my original review, the bakery publicly apologized, acknowledged my concerns, and asked me to reach out so they could make things right. I did exactly that and provided a detailed explanation of what happened, including the issues with my order being delayed and the green sauce being extremely limited and watered down. Unfortunately, after I took the time to reach out, I never received a response. What is particularly frustrating is that I was directed to a general inquiry email rather than someone specifically handling customer concerns. After looking through other reviews, I noticed a similar pattern: when customers leave negative reviews, the business responds publicly with an apology and invites them to reach out. However, based on the experiences described in those reviews, it appears that the follow through is often missing. I also noticed that different customers have apparently been given different email contacts, which makes the process feel even less consistent. This unfortunately isn’t the first time I’ve experienced issues with this establishment. My family has ordered from here several times, and today, for Father’s Day, we purchased a dessert box. One of the cakes we ordered was missing, we initially gave them the benefit of the doubt given how busy holidays can be. What was far more concerning, however, was discovering that the Dulce de Leche cake had mold growing on the bottom. Several of us had already taken bites before realizing something was wrong, which was both nauseating and extremely upsetting. I included pictures - the more we broke the cake, the more mold was found. I’ve genuinely tried to give this place multiple chances because I wanted to support the business, but serving moldy desserts is simply unacceptable, especially when I’m not the first to experience this. Food quality and safety should never be compromised..

Stopped in for my Cafe con leche and pastelito! Everything was great!!!! Glad I found this place and will have to come back for sure!!! Coffee is great and hot and fresh and so is the pastry!

CAO exceeded my expectations! The atmosphere was warm, the food outstanding, and the service truly set it apart. The staff was friendly and attentive, this place is a gem. Can’t wait to go back for more croquetas!

I stopped by the new Cao Bakery in Miramar for their grand opening, and it did not disappoint! The pastelitos were fresh, flaky, and full of flavor definitely some of the best. Their Cuban coffee gaves me life, its strong, smooth, and just the right amount of sweetness. I also grabbed breakfast, and everything was made to order and served with a smile. The staff was friendly, the space is bright and welcoming, and the energy from the grand opening was contagious. This location is already a hit!
